Our mission is to develop affordable housing, using sustainable building
practices, for low-, middle-, and moderate-income New Yorkers. Where
possible, we seek to acquire, remediate and redevelop contaminated
properties for that purpose. Our ultimate goal is to put brownfield
properties that are a blight on their neighborhoods into productive reuse
for the benefit of the community and its residents.
• Identify development sites, prepare thorough marketing and financial analyses, and negotiate site acquisition financing;
• Provide technical expertise to transform environmentally compromised properties to productive use as affordable housing;
• Prepare, with architects, engineers, lawyers and other professionals, co-coordinated architectural, legal and financial development plans;
• Negotiate with financial institutions and equity investors to secure project financing, with governmental agencies to obtain necessary approvals and with contractors to arrange to build the project;
• Supervise construction work and manage construction financing
• Prepare and supervise advertising and marketing programs and management of title transfers and/or leasing activities; and
• Complete and oversee ongoing operation of the developments.
